George Thomas Bridgens
George was a mariner. He married Frances WEBB who was the daughter of Edward WEBB, a wheelwright. Children included Edward born in 1846.
Edward was born on 26 May 1846 in Blackwall, Middlesex, England. He married Martha Elizabeth WEBB on 24 March 1872 in Dartford, Kent. Martha was the daughter of Edward WEBB (brother of Frances) and Jane DUKE and was born in Woolwich, London around 1849.
Edward and Martha arrived in New Zealand on 15 October 1874 onboard the "Zealandia" with their 2 year old son, Frederick. In 1875 Edward began boot-making in Pitt Street, Auckland.

Frederick Henry born 9 September 1872 in London, England. He arrived on the "Zealandia" with his parents in October 1874. Frederick married Ellen Barbara BROWN on 15 December 1894 in Auckland and their children were -
- Edward George born 22 May 1895 in Auckland. His first marriage was to Muriel Bonetta SCHULTZ. His second marriage on 1 June 1932 was to Kathleen BRIDGE. Edward died on 1 September 1944 in Rotorua.
- Frederick Albert born 1897 in Auckland. Frederick married Delia Hilda May DALE-TAYLOR. He died on 15 June 1973 in Auckland.
- Alice Louisa Ada born 22 March 1899 in Auckland. Alice married Norman Hugh DANIELS on 18 October 1930 and they had two children. Norman was born in 1897 in Auckland and died in 1987. Alice died on 19 July 1982 in Auckland.
- Percival Rupert born 16 March 1901 in Auckland. Percy was the only son not to become a shoe-maker and was a Dentist. He married Ray Innez YORK on 16 March 1926. She was born in 1899 and died in 1974. Percy died on 6 December 1967 in Auckland.
- Henry Ernest born 2 September 1904 in Auckland. Henry became a school-teacher. He married Irene Alice RAMSEY. She was born in 1902. As the Bridgens Shoe Factory business grew, he and his wife came to Auckland and joined his brothers in the shoe-making trade.
Irene died in 1987 and Henry died in October 1965.
- Hazel May born 7 May 1907 in Auckland. Hazel married Douglas Frederick STEVEN. He was born in 1899 and died in 1984. Hazel died on 3 October 1986.
- Leslie Arnold born 20 May 1909 in Auckland. He married Ruth HORNER in September 1930 in Auckland. Ruth was born in 1908 and died in 1980. Leslie died on 15 March 1974.
- Charles Bryan born 8 February 1911 in Auckland. He married Nellie Mildred McMAHON. Charles died on 2 December 1981.
- Roy Douglas born 22 February 1917 in Auckland. Roy married Amelia Ada FARNDON. She was born in 1917 and died in 1984. Roy died in Auckland on 22 September 1991.
Frederick died on 31 August 1938 in Auckland.
Ellen Elizabeth born 8 November 1874 in Auckland.

Frank Walter born on 5 October 1919 in Auckland. Frank married Zelda CORBETT and they had twin sons -
+ Wayne Scott who married Cecile Paula REYNES in London, England and had two children.
+ Ross who married Marilyn (maiden name unknown) and had two children.
George Herbert born 1877 and died 1878 in Auckland.
Martha Louisa born 9 August 1879 in Auckland. Martha married Henry Norman WEBB in 1904 in Auckland. She died on 19 June 1930 in Auckland.
Rosina Edith Rose born 1881 and died in 1882 in Auckland.
Alice Maud born 1883 in Auckland. She died on 18 March 1970.
George Ernest born 1887 in Auckland. He died on 22 March 1920.
Edward died on 21 February 1922 in Auckland aged 75 years and was buried at Waikumete Cemetery, Auckland.
Martha was born on 9 August 1879 in Eden Terrace, Auckland. She married Henry Norman Webb on 23 March 1907 in Auckland. Henry was the son of Thomas WEBB and Martha SIMPSON. They had three children, Rosina, Norman and Doris.
Martha died on 19 June 1930 in Auckland and was buried at Waikumete Cemetery.
