OUR LAMB FAMILY :
William Lamb
William was born on 2 April 1711. His parents were William LAMB born in 1668 and G HUNTER (christian name unknown). William married Christine AITKEN on 16 June 1752 and children included James born in 1758.
James was born on 10 December 1758 in Scotland. He married Christina HAMILTON. James died on 25 July 1853 in Ohio, Michigan, United States of America.
Children of James and Christina :
Alexander born 19 February 1782 in Scotland and died in 1835. He married Catherine THOMSON.
Agnes born 11 August 1784.
John born 7 July 1786.
Marion born 25 June 1787.
James born 25 December 1788.
William born 2 July 1790.
Thomas born 30 September 1792. He married Margaret REID.
Grizel born 8 April 1796.
David born 30 October 1797.
Christian born 26 April 1799.
Jean born 14 April 1802.
Alexander was born on 19 February 1782 in Scotland. He married Catherine THOMSON on 13 November 1807 in Glasgow, Scotland.
Their children included James who married Janet GALBRAITH and Thomas.
Alexander died in 1835.
Thomas married Hannah HENDERSON and children included Catherine born in 1839 and her older siblings, Alexander, Margaret and Thomas.
Catherine was born in 1839 in Blantyre, Larnark, Scotland. She married William Morrison on 7 October 1864 in Kirkton, Blantyre. He was the son of John MORRISON and Mary Anne MOORE.
Catherine and William immigrated to New Zealand around 1872 with their five children, one of whom died on the journey. They had a further three children after settling in New Zealand.
Catherine died on 8 January 1904 in Gisborne, New Zealand. William died on 27 August 1903 in Gisborne.
