OUR REITMANN FAMILY :
Heinrich ( Henry) Reitmann
Henry was born around 1835. He married Juliana Bertha BEITS and children included William and Julia.
Henry died on 4 September 1912 aged 77 years. Julia died on 1 December 1915 aged 72 years. Henry and Julia were both buried at Shortland Cemetery, Thames.
William was born around 1858 in Capetown, South Africa ex Hanover, Northern Germany and was the son of Henry REITMANN and Juliana Bertha BEITS.
William married Sarah Susannah HEARD on 23 July 1890 at St Marks Church, Remuera, Auckland. Sarah was born on 5 April 1868 in Colchester, Essex, England and was the daughter of George Leonard HEARD and Sarah Eliza RATCLIFFE. George and Sarah had married on 4 June 1865 in Essex, England.
William died on 3 November 1918. Sarah died in Thames on 26 August 1937 and was buried at Totara Cemetery, Thames.
Julia was born in 1867 and was the daughter of Henry REITMANN and Juliana Bertha BEITS. She married Thomas Faulds SENIOR. Thomas was born on 24 September 1865 in Auckland, New Zealand and was the son of Joseph SENIOR and Margaret ALLISON. Thomas died on 17 July 1922 in Thames. Julia died on 23 February 1934 also in Thames.

- Mary Margaret (Maggie) born 1886 (Married name Fisher)
- Jeannette (Janet) born 14 May 1889 (Married name Norman)
- Joseph Henry born 22 February 1892. He married Mabel Jane HUNT.
- Thomas Balfour born 17 October 1895 and died 9 March 1974.
- Albert born 1 May 1897 and died 3 October 1974.
- Victor Edward born 22 January 1901 and died 25 September 1970.
Bertha was born on 17 June 1891 in Thames, New Zealand, the daughter of William REITMANN and Sarah Susannah HEARD.
Bertha married George William Wildish on 31 December 1911 at St Andrews Church, Remuera, Auckland. George was the son of George WILDISH and Janet MORRISON. They had two daughters -
- Ailsa Eloise born 19 September 1912.
- Joyce Yvonne born 23 November 1914.
Bertha divorced her husband, George, when the girls were young and Ailsa and Joyce were brought up by their grand-mother, Sarah, in Thames. Bertha moved to Auckland, re-married and eventually settled in Sydney, Australia. She died there on 28 November 1968.
