( John ) Thomas Wildish
Thomas was born in England. He married Emma SPINDLER in 1861 in Rye, Sussex. Emma was born in 1841 in Brentwood, England and was the daughter of Richard SPINDLER and Mary JONES. The family came to New Zealand around 1884 and settled in Gisborne. Emma died on 2 February 1877 in Oamaru, New Zealand.

George Thomas born about 1865 in London, England. He married Janet Galbraith MORRISON on 20 April 1886 in Gisborne, New Zealand.
George died on 7 January 1959 in Auckland.William Henry was born in 1869. He married Elizabeth Jane MADDEN in 1890. Elizabeth was born in 1870 in Victoria, Australia and died on 8 May 1947 in Gisborne. William died on 20 April 1957 in Gisborne Children of William and Elizabeth were -

Eliza was born on 25 June 1870 in Bromley, Middlesex, England. She married James MORRISON on 28 November 1896 in Gisborne, New Zealand. James was born on 6 June 1872 in Larnark, Scotland and died on 5 May 1953 in Gisborne. Eliza died on 3 March 1954 in Gisborne. Children of Eliza and James were -
- Doris Robina born 11 April 1897 in Gisborne and died on 2 May 1898.
- Muriel Hope born 1 December 1900. She married Thomas COCHRANE on 4 April 1923 in Gisborne and they had seven children. Thomas was born on 5 November 1895 in Bundaberg, Queensland, Australia and died on 17 June 1970 in Gisborne. Muriel died on 23 February 1961.
- Allan Lewis born 10 November 1906. He married Ina Dorothy WHITE on 16 December 1931 in Tauranga. They had one child. Allan died on 5 August 1953 in Gisborne.
- Robert James born 10 April 1910. Robert married Catherine PARKER on 14 October 1936 in Gisborne and had two children.

George was born 23 March 1865 in London, England. He arrived in New Zealand as a boy and settled in Gisborne around 1884. On 20 April 1886 he married Janet Galbraith Morrison in Gisborne. Janet was born in Scotland in July 1865 and was the eldest daughter of William MORRISON and Catherine LAMB.
George was elected Mayor of Gisborne in 1919. He was a member of the Fire Brigade for 31 years, including several years as Chairman.
Janet died on 8 October 1923 in Gisborne. On 23 March 1925 George married Ethel GILMORE. George died on 7 January 1959 in Auckland.

Catherine Clara Louisa born 17 August 1887 in Gisborne and died on 7 December 1957. Catherine married Francis SELVES and children included -

- Janet Mary (Jean) born 28 September 1911. Janet married Albert Henry WILLIAMS on 25 March 1940.
- Edith Lorraine born 3 January 1917. Edith married Charles Leslie NORMAN in March 1944. She died on 6 November 1967 in Gisborne.
- Ian George Evenden who married Margaret Ann ROSS in October 1946.
- Stanley William born 27 September 1921. Stanley died during World War Two in New Caledonia.
- William Evenden born 11 July 1926. William married Audrey Hilda May COOMBES on 22 December 1951. He died on 2 August 1959.
George William born August 1889 in Gisborne. He married Bertha Isabella REITMANN on 31 December 1911 in Auckland. George died suddenly on 12 December 1962 in Auckland.
Ralph James born 2 December 1890. He married Myrtle CHURCH and they had a son. On 22 December 1926 Ralph married Ethel May HOLLOWAY and they had a daughter. Ethel died on 4 April 1971 in Auckland.
Minna Carlina born 19 July 1892 and died in 1945. Minna married Harold Warren BENTON on 15 October 1913. Children were -
- Marjorie Carlina who married Herbert Arthur RICHIE.
- Norman Harold born 22 November 1915. He married Lucy CRAIG in 1940 and later died during World War Two in the Pacific.
Edith Myra born 3 January 1895. Edith married Eric UPTON on 15 August 1916. Eric was born about 1890 and died on 14 January 1958. Edith died on 16 May 1960 in Gisborne. Children of Edith and Eric were -

William Morrison born 8 January 1898 in Gisborne. He married Ethel Gladys ROBERTS. William died on 24 July 1960 in Gisborne.
Sydney Roy Eric born 21 April 1898. He married Nellie Florence COLEMAN on 17 February 1921. Sydney died on 5 February 1960.
Nora Robina born 15 July 1899 and died 18 June 1900.
George was born in August 1889 in Gisborne, New Zealand and died on suddenly on 12 December 1962 in Auckland. His occupation was a tailor. George married Bertha Isabella Reitmann on 31 December 1911 in Auckland. She was born on 17 June 1891 in Thames and was the daughter of Wilhelm REITMANN and Sarah HEARD.
Children of George and Bertha :Ailsa Eloise Reitmann born 19 September 1912. Ailsa married Frederick Ernest WILLIAMS and had four children. Frederick was a blacksmith. They lived in Paeroa, Ngatea and later Red Beach.
Joyce Yvonne born 23 November 1914 in Thames, New Zealand. She married Gregory Alexander WENZLICK. Joyce died on 17 June 1999 in Thames.
Joyce was born on 23 November 1914 in Thames, New Zealand. She was known Yvonne or Vonnie to her family. Yvonne married Gregory Alexander Wenzlick in Thames on 2 March 1932. Gregory was born on 29 October 1908 in Auckland and was the only son of Gregor WENZLICK and Emma BATTEN.
Greg and Yvonne settled in Thames and raised a family of five children - two daughters and three sons. They later moved to Auckland and settled in Otahuhu. Greg died on 28 March 1988 in Otahuhu. Later Yvonne returned to Thames where she died on 17 June 1999. She was cremated and her ashes interred at Totara Cemetery, Thames.
