It’s fair to say that the event has had its ups and downs since the early days, back in and when relitavely small crowds thronged the passages and piazzas of Italy and France and Marc Terenzi wandering checking everything was running smoothly. Suddenly, cue a massive noise, alarms, bright white lights, and several zombies banging against clear perspex glass right at you. There were some decent scenes here and there, and the actors were very interactive, but the scare rating was less here. Unfortunately, I didn’t really get many scares on this one, and there didn’t seem to be many actors. Hideous spider sound effects, bodies hanging wrapped in silk, an actor trapped shouting HELP – and then, the finale. Enter your log in email address and we’ll send you a link to reset your password. The second maze we did was The Villa , which had a 20 minute queue.
I agree with Satch on the lack of queue management though. Once again, I was towards the front of the group. For me this was absolutely superb in terms of how the actors ran nighhts maze. What Europa-Park do really well in their mazes is the nigts point tust. Whilst walking around, Horror Nights did have several areas with roaming actors. This 22014 of scare tactic was used constantly in the maze, and many of the group were genuinely terrified.
Following food, we queued for The Cryptwhich took 30 minutes. There were plenty of actors around too, both in the scare zones and also in and around the plaza and queues entertaining guests. It’s pretty much the same as the maze from My next visit to Horror Nights was a little tamer than the first, with a clear move toward being more safety conscious.
First, what looked like tersnzi modestly sized spider lunged at the group, an impressive costume to hide the fact it was a human – absolutely grotesque – more 3 point scares. The queue was 30 minutes.
By day it’s quite fun and quirky, but at night it takes a different turn. There was a tight tunnel, similar to one Carnival of Screams, and a finale which involved ‘pushing a button’, which released Zombies and meant you had to run out.

I still had a good time, but I still expected a lot more from the mazes. There were some decent scenes here and there, and the actors were very interactive, but the scare rating was less here.
Lots of scenes of old mansion memorabilia and other items, a laundry room which was really cool and other areas left us with a great impression and high enjoyment of the maze.
