I’ve always liked the start of grand adventures best kind of like when you take off on a long road trip so I enjoyed the story, even knowing that I was only going to get a tiny bit of it. Maybe this heads-up will help prepare some It started out okay, if a bit goofy and gross for my taste.

I like Mckiernan usually, it’s classic fantasy with settings that are incredibly detailed and events and people that are always exciting to explore. McKiernan has subsequently developed stories in goodreadds series that followed along a story line different from those that plausibly could have been taken by Tolkien. I’ve been reading and re-read This book like all of the Mithgar books is top-notch!

If voodreads, should I still read The Silver Call 1 and 2 before reading this or maybe the 4 preceding books of the Mithgar Series? It’s one of the most accessible of the novels in the series in that it’s possible to read this one as a stand-alone and not feel like any parts of the story are missing. Mom won’t pick up the tab for my books any longer. I’ve read hundreds, if not thousands of books in Ok, so I never made it past the 4th chapter. His writing is solid and Mithgar has wizards, dragons, trolls, elves, dwarfs, and an host of other creatures with creative abilities and limitations. I was also annoyed by the fact that one of the fantasy Middle East countries that the heroes visit has a major religion consisting of Satan worship or at least worship of the local Satan equivalent.

It was horrible, bad sdries Want to Read saving…. The writing style is easy to read and the tales are not hard to follow and I like how they are dealt with here.
